There are approximately 100 people who directly receive WG 2 documents.
They are nominated members of national standards bodies or individuals who are experts
in encoding technology and/or linguistics. The attendance level at our meetings
is to over 35 people representing, on the average, 14 national
bodies and 4 liaison organization. The attendees represent
approximately 18 affiliations.

In addition, WG 2 has worked very closely with the following
working groups but no official liaisons exist between them and WG2.
- ISO/IEC JTC1/SC2/WG3 - 7 bit and 8 bit Codes
- WG3 has been disbanded at the 13th SC 2 Plenary, 2004-06. SC2 for is now
managing the maintenance
of the WG3 standards.
