Truly International Standards Standards developed by SC 22 are internationally recognized and the process used allows for the addressing of requirements of large and small businesses and of users, including government and educational institutions. The SC 22 process encourages the participation of experts from any organization, including government and educational institutions. SC 22 provides specifications that provide portability across multiple platforms. SC 22 provides building blocks such as datatype and syntax definitions, to help other standards groups to develop their own standards. SC 22 provides a sufficient commonality to facilitate cross programming language development.
