1. Contact with the user community?Yes.
2. Information on the user community?Apart from the use of Tibetan as a language of daily life, the scholarly community, particularly researchers at SOAS in London, have indicated their need for the extensions proposed here.
3a. The context of use for the proposed characters?Most of the extensions are for specialized printing of Tibetan, i.e., not for ordinary newspapers (which is why Extended Tibetan is proposed). The characters to be added to Basic Tibetan are considered to be necessary for the normal production of Tibetan texts, though some of them are used in specialized "unusual" stacks.
